Is Quitting a job better than being BORED at it!!!

Obviously Yes, but why. Why would I want to quit a job? Is it the organizational culture, is it your boss, or what is boring me?

I asked myself, how can you be bored, when you are being paid to do things you loved the most. These are the things which you said you wanted to do in an interview and now all of a sudden you are somehow bored.

Is it just me or do you sometimes feel like your stagnant job is making you lazy? If you are still reading this, then I am sure you are bored to a level that is painful and can’t be explained easily.

It’s been a while since I have written something and published it here. I can make up 10 different excuses in my mind to defend my procrastinating habit. But let's be honest and see what went wrong.

Well, I was bored, or was I?

Actually, I was trying to figure out something (which looked interesting for my office work) and after the very detailed observation, that thing was sorted out. And now it was time to make a decision (which I don't have the power to do as I am only an employee). The decision-making authorities ignored everything and said

“let the system be as it is, nothing needs to be done here”

This reaction disappointed me to my core and I went silent. That's all that happened. This was not boredom this was more of a warning for me. This was as if I am not allowed to perform at a level where I should and intentionally let things go. Obviously, this will be in favor of the company but not for me.

And if you have read my story this far,

I am going to ask you again, is boredom really the actual reason for you to quit your job.

Think about it. You can work the same amount and put in the same effort to come up with your own startup and do your own thing. Let's say you open up your own youtube channel and start vlogging. But will this not bore you someday? Will you not ask yourself, what the hell am I doing and where is this going? and maybe a couple of more questions like this.

So Guys, help me out here, what am I missing here. If I am going to be bored so easily then what exactly should I do to get going and enjoy rather than just living the only life I have.

I am looking forward to reading all of your suggestions, so please be generous.

The philosopher Walter Benjamin said “Boredom is the dream bird that hatches the egg of experience. A rustling in the leaves drives him away.”

See you soon…
