The Crazy Mobile Phones!!!

What a fascinating thing this mobile phone is. With time technology evolved, but with the telephone the story is completely different. It evolved from a voice transferring device to a video communicator. It started with one of the most expensive commodities anyone could afford and now everyone can afford it. Even those living under the poverty line. It a telephone was supposed to be in one specific part of the house and now the phone has a mobility feature (more of as an on-the-go phone).
Nowadays the high-end mobile phones are also a status symbol and just like every other aspect of fashion, it only helps you communicate (orally or verbally, voice or video). A high-end high-tech phone will perform all the basic functionality of a telephony system.
The difference I feel between telephony back then and now is that now mobile phones have taken out the curiosity of connection from our lives. Back then, we had to request an operator to connect our calls and the call time was limited so we had to be very precise and enjoy every second of that communication. But now I am always available for everyone and anyone can call me without any third party interference and time limitation.
Back then it was a joyful moment to get in touch with them and hear them laugh, now your whole family is available in one application group chat and you can talk always. It’s as if you are too much available. Back then it feels like we talked more often than now with all the limitations of call connectivity, charges, and time limitation. But now when there is no limitation, no one talks. With all this liberty of cheap and easy access, we still prefer to roam our social media pages rather than talking and socializing with people with whom we may have lost contact.
Another thing changed, we stopped writing. I still remember the well-wishing, birthday, and holiday cards we used to either make or purchase and send to our loved ones. This whole phenomenon involved a lot of energy, a lot of affection, a purpose to surprise or please or wish someone. But with mobile phones, this phenomenon of personal affection, care, and emotional attachment decreased as if someone took all the feelings of doing the same thing on mobile.
A birthday wish is still a wish on a mobile phone but it doesn’t feel that amazing or excited. You have wished your friend and that’s good but if doing so still doesn’t gives you pleasure then call him, talk to him, write to him, express what he means to you (because believe me the mobile screen is not going to express your feelings, it’s just a bitchy heartless machine).
I know for a fact, humans are happier when they are around other humans, not with machines. And now will be the time where I have to ask you to think of your friend or a relative whom you have wished for (anything) but didn’t call in a long time. You had a mobile phone, you had his number and yet you didn’t call him, ask yourself why? Call him, talk to him for hours and laugh or cry but talk and connect because that is what will make you feel lively.
This machine (mobile phone) is made to be used by you, not you to be used by it. Use it before it consumes you and you are only left with your regret and telemarketing advertisement. With this mobile phone, we get to have endless connection possibilities and yet we end to be alone. If this isn’t alarming then what is? Talk, before it’s too late.
